Srila Prabhupada once said one book can change a life. We're betting 60,000 can change a city.
When ISKCON NYC set the goal of 60,000 books for the December Marathon, it wasn't a round number pulled from the air. It was a calculation.
New York City has 8.58 million people. Sixty thousand books is a fraction of a percent — but every fraction is a person. Every person is a soul. And every soul who receives a book plants a seed that may bloom in this life or the next.
Srila Prabhupada built ISKCON on the back of book distribution. On the 60 year anniversary of ISKCON is it not fit to distribute 60,000 books for his pleasure?
Sixty thousand is our offering. The city is the altar.
